It’s not that we’re stingy or ‘owt (northern parlay there) but we know so many of you are talented musicians and performers that we thought it would be special if you wanted to bring some of that creativity and spark to our wedding. So, we are going to have an open-mic stage set-up on the day of the wedding.
Performance is not obligatory but we would love it if you want to bring a piece to perform – music, spoken word, sword-swallowing… something to entertain.
You could play a bit of acoustic guitar, sing a cappella (brave), recite Act II of Hamlet (not really) or perform something in a group… anything ‘perform-ey’. We would love you to sing a song, recite a poem, tell some jokes… whatever you want. It would be the best gift you could bring to our celebration.
We may even have a go ourselves!
(Please note: No naked flames are allowed so, unfortunately, David’s ‘fire eating on a unicycle’ will have to wait for another day.) There is also the option to change into shiny disco gear/sequins for the evening dancing if you feel like it!
We repeat!: There is no obligation at all to get on the stage, but if you want to then please email and let us know what you’re thinking and we will ensure that you have what you need to shine. We can even arrange piano or guitar accompaniment if you let us know in advance.
